Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architectural design of bespoke software solutions. This role requires guiding teams through the entire development lifecycle, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The position focuses on establishing development standards and ensuring that the software produced meets high benchmarks for code quality, scalability, and performance. Collaboration with various stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals is a key aspect of daily activities, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop efficient and scalable data models in SAP HANA Cloud using Calculation Views and SQLScript.
- Implement calculated fields, aggregations, and business logic based on Profit Center, Business Line and MRP Controller requirements.
- Collaborate with finance and supply chain stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize data models for performance, security, and reusability.
- Ensure models are well-documented, version-controlled, and adhere to best practices.
- Work with functional consultants to validate data accuracy and business alignment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to increase efficiency.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- 12+ years of experience in SAP HANA native development or SAP HANA Cloud.
- Strong expertise in Calculation Views, SQLScript, Table Functions, Stored Procedures and scheduler jobs.
- Solid understanding of SAP ERP data structures, especially BSEG (Financial Documents), MARC (Material Plant Data), MARA (Material Master), Material documents (MSEG) and ACDOCA (S4/HANA).
- Experience with profit center accounting and MRP/planning-related data.
- Familiarity with data modeling principles, performance optimization, and analytic privileges.
- Ability to work in SAP Business Application Studio, SAP HANA Database Explorer.
- Experience using Git-based source code management tools for version control and collaboration (Bitbucket).
- Familiar with automated deployment pipelines for promoting changes across environments (Jenkins).
- Good communication skills to work with both business users and technical teams.
- Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams using Agile Scrum methodologies.

- The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in SAP Native HANA SQL Modeling & Development.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
