Job Description

Are you prepared to assume a pivotal role in industrial relations within our HR department? We're seeking a dynamic professional who excels in relationship building with workers' councils, unions, and other stakeholders across Belgium & Luxembourg.

Your job

As the Social Relations Advisor, you will play a key role in shaping and maintaining positive employee & work council relations within our organization. You will play a crucial role in the social dialogue by ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Your responsibilities include:

  • You define, implement and maintain a centralized and coordinated industrial relations strategy, in line with the business needs and the HR Roadmap.
  • You manage relationships with worker’s councils, labor unions and employee representatives to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • You collaborate with the HR Director, Employee Relations Managers and HRBP’s in social / labor law matters. You ensure that the company’s treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives.
  • You are in charge of all collective labor agreements, from negotiation and follow up until implementation.
  • You enhance implementation of the CLA’s through structured and transparent communication with other HR departments.
  • You are in charge of compliance with labor laws & regulations, as well as internal policies, and validation of all formal documents (work regulations, labor contract, ...)
  • In addition, you will contribute to & collaborate with the HR Director for allround HR-related projects and initiatives.

Your Team

You will collaborate closely with the Employee Relations team within the Human Resources department, as well as other Corporate Functions teams including Finance, Legal, and Information Management. Together, we strive to optimize operations, drive collaboration, and achieve shared goals.

Qualifications

Your background

  • You have strong communication, problem solving, negotiation & influencing skills.
  • You have experience in dealing with workers’ councils and unions.
  • You have profound insights on HR policies and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch/French.
