Terms and Conditions

Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum (“ANZLF”) (ABN 75 008 483 216) of 42/120 Collins Street, Melbourne 3000, Melbourne 3001, Australia, is holding the Competition for the Trans-Tasman Innovation & Growth Awards (“TTIGA”).

The Competition will run from 21 March 2022 to 28 April 2022 and the winners will be publicly announced and celebrated on 7 July 2022.

The winners of the Competition will be selected by a panel of Australian and New Zealand judges who will assess applications on the basis of collaboration, growth, talent and wellbeing, funding approach and environmental and social Impact.

The prizes for the Competition are as follows:

• Invitation for 2 (two) people including the CEO and one other senior representative from a winning company to the ANZLF Annual Celebration dinner that will be held in Sydney Australia, on 7 July 2022, at which the Award Winners will be announced, and the Awards handed over
• Invitation for 2 (two) people from a winning company to the ANZLF Winners Dinner in Sydney Australia on 6 July 2022, an evening networking event with Award winners, and guests from Award Partners
• Invitation for 2 (two) people from a winning company to the ANZLF TTIGA Winners Summit in Sydney Australia on the morning of 7 July 2022
• Invitation for the CEO and one other senior representative from a winning company to attend the ANZLF event in Sydney Australia on the afternoon of 7 July 2022 and morning of 8 July 2022
• Networking opportunities
• Cash prize (subject to the winner of the Competition attending the ANZLF Annual Celebration Dinner and TTIGA Collaboration Summit): $25,000 AUD
• Return economy flights for 2 (two) people from each of the winning companies to Sydney (booked by ANZLF), from an Australian or New Zealand city served by Air New Zealand, Qantas or Virgin, for the purpose of attending the 2022 ANZLF event, Celebration Dinner and TTIGA Winners Summit (if winners are not Sydney based).
• Accommodation selected and booked by the ANZLF for 2 (two) participants for up to 2 (two) nights (on 6th and/or 7th July only) for the purpose of attending the above ANZLF events (if winners are not Sydney based).

The Terms and Conditions of the Competition are set out below.

The Competition is open to emerging businesses that are established or based in Australia or New Zealand.

• Company has secured external investor funding
• Company has a market cap under $100M AUD
• Established in or has strong roots in Australia or New Zealand
• Company required to share their business growth story

To enter, eligible entrants must complete and submit the online submission available through the portal.

Registrations open on 21 March 2022 9am Australian Eastern Standard Time and close on 28 April 2022 at 5pm Australian Eastern Standard Time.

Entries are to be submitted via the Trans-Tasman Innovation & Growth Award submission page.

The timetable for the Competition will be as follows:

• March 21, 2022, to 28 April 2022: Applications for Trans-Tasman Innovation & Growth Award open on 21st March and must be received by 5pm Australian Eastern Standard Time on 28th April.
• April - May – Applications reviewed by Judging Panel and finalists notified.
• June – Invitation to the ANZLF Annual Celebration dinner and related events sent to winners.
• July 6, 2022 – Winners will attend a networking dinner in Sydney, Australia. It is mandatory for representatives from the winning companies to attend.
• July 7, 2022 – Winners will attend the ANZLF Winners Summit in Sydney, Australia. It is mandatory for representatives from the winning companies to attend.
• July 7, 2022 – ANZLF Annual Celebration dinner in Sydney, Australia. It is mandatory for representatives from the winning companies to attend.
• July 7, 8 2022 – Winners may attend the ANZLF Annual Forum in Sydney, Australia.
• If there is a need to postpone the ANZLF Annual Forum and related events to a later date due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, participation would be expected on the new date once confirmed.

To enter, eligible entrants must read and agree to the terms of the Privacy Collection Statement.

1. The Competition details, process on how to enter, entry guidelines and criteria, and timetable stated above form part of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Submission of an entry to this Competition is deemed to be acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
3. All submissions must be the original, unassisted work of the entrants and must comply with the entry guidelines and criteria stated above. Submissions which are incomplete, ineligible, late, lost or misdirected, or otherwise does not conform to the entry guidelines and criteria may be deemed invalid.
4. ANZLF, in its absolute discretion will determine the eligibility and validity of entries and submissions, and any variation in the length of the application period. ANZLF reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry or submission process.
5. ANZLF will select the judges for the Competition in its absolute discretion. The determination of the judges shall be considered final.
6. ANZLF may request the finalists and winner to provide proof of identity and eligibility to enter for verification purposes.
7. ANZLF shall not be liable for any tax implications and consequences that may arise from receipt by the winner of the prize.
8. ANZLF is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss or damage) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Competition and accepting any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
9. The cash prize will be subject to the winner attending the ANZLF Celebration Dinner, Collaboration Summit and Winner’s Networking Dinner.
10. ANZLF may forfeit the prize if, for any reason whatsoever, any winner does not accept the prize, or any part thereof, at the time or within the time period stipulated by ANZLF.
11. In the event of Force Majeure, including but not limited to war, terrorism, state of emergency, natural disaster or other unforeseen circumstances, ANZLF reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition and will not be liable to any person for the cancellation, termination, modification or suspension.
12. Upon submission of an entry, each entrant consents to ANZLF using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media without attribution, payment or compensation for the purpose of promoting the Competition (including any outcome), future competitions or services of ANZLF.
13. A media and social media blackout will apply until the winners are publicly announced on the evening of 7th July. Except for disclosures required by law or for purposes of the Competition, each entrant will keep confidential and not disclose any confidential information that may be provided by ANZLF during the Competition, or any third-party confidential information gained throughout the Competition. Upon request of ANZLF, each entrant will promptly return or destroy all confidential information received.
14. Upon registration, ANZLF will collect entrants' personal information (as defined in the [Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)/ Privacy Act 1993 (NZ)]) for the purposes of the Competition which may be disclosed to third parties such as sponsors and other members of the ANZLF for the purpose of administering and conducting the Competition. Each entrant agrees to provide accurate, complete and up to date information to ANZLF at the time of registration of entry. An entrant who provides personal information about another entrant shall inform the other entrant of the matters contained in this statement and obtain any consent required by the [Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)/Privacy Act 1993 (NZ)] and the Privacy Collection Statement.
15. The entrant represents and warrants that the provision of personal information or personal data pursuant to these Terms and Conditions will not violate any applicable law, rule, regulation, or privacy policy and that the entrant has obtained all necessary consents and authorisations and complied with any required notices to provide such information.
16. Each entrant consents to ANZLF using the personal information in any media for future promotional, marketing, publicity and recruitment purposes.
17. To the extent permitted by law, the parties agree that any applicable proportionate liability legislation is excluded in relation to all and any rights, obligations and liabilities under this Competition whether such rights, obligations or liabilities are sought to be enforced as a breach of contract, or a claim in tort or otherwise.
18. ANZLF may, upon giving fourteen (14) days' written notice identifying specifically the basis for such notice, terminate an entry into the Competition for breach of a material term or condition of this Competition, unless the breach occurs in the last 14 days of the competition in which case a shorter notice period will apply.
19. ANZLF shall be entitled to terminate this Competition, for any reason whatsoever, without penalty, at any time by giving at least thirty (30) days written notice.
20. This Competition is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia and the parties exclusively submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
