It’s also nice to know our hard work doesn’t go unrecognized. Accenture is the number one industry recognized integrator for the top three Hyperscale Cloud providers (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform)—and we’ve helped transform hundreds of companies to the Cloud. We have received countless awards such as Pinnacle awards from SAP as well.
You Are:
A transformation maven with the skills to help clients meet the challenges of digitization. Your human superpower? Using your know-how, creativity, and analytical powers to solve clients’ most complex business problems to help their companies do more. You’re as comfortable leading projects and teams as you are diving into the details of workstreams and configuring SAP solutions. Or you specialize in one or the other, our practice covers the functional & process side of SAP as well as the technical development & technical architecture. Additionally, you have the communication and people skills to inspire teams to bring their A-game.
The Work:
As an SAP Basis Manager on SAP transformation projects, you will:
Lead Basis workstream delivery across S/4HANA Greenfield, Brownfield conversion, BTP extension, and AMS engagements — owning the technical landscape design, cutover planning, and go-live readiness from a platform perspective.
Architect and govern SAP HANA database environments on Azure (Mv2/Mv3) or equivalent hyperscaler infrastructure — including NUMA tuning, NSE tiering strategy, delta merge configuration, HSR topology, and backup/recovery design.
Drive high-availability and disaster recovery implementation — HANA System Replication, Pacemaker clustering, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Files integration — and validate failover readiness pre-go-live.
Own transport and release governance — establishing CTS+/ChaRM workflows, transport lanes, and release calendar alignment with project and AMS delivery teams; integrating with CI/CD pipelines where DevOps practices are in scope.
Serve as the primary Basis escalation point for P1/P2 incidents during project hypercare and AMS steady state — leading RCA, coordinating cross-functional resolution, and authoring post-incident reviews (PIRs).
Lead and develop a team of Basis consultants — assigning work, reviewing deliverables, running technical knowledge transfers, and building capability across junior and mid-level engineers.
Engage client stakeholders at the technical lead and project manager level — providing landscape status updates, risk flags, and platform readiness assessments.
Travel may be required. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Here's What You Need:
-
Minimum of 5 years experience in SAP Basis, with at least two full-cycle S/4HANA implementations or Brownfield conversions in a lead or co-lead capacity.
-
Minimum of 3 years experience/deep hands-on expertise in SAP HANA database administration on cloud infrastructure — memory architecture, HSR, backup strategy, performance tuning, and EarlyWatch Alert interpretation.
-
Minimum of 2 years experience designing and executing SAP HA/DR solutions in Azure or equivalent hyperscaler environments.
-
Minimum of 2 years experience managing transport landscapes and release governance across multi-system, multi-track project environments.
-
Experience and proven track record of leading small-to-medium Basis teams (3–8 people) across project and AMS delivery models.
-
Prior experience supporting the CMT Industry and clients
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If an Associate's Degree, minimum 6 years' work experience.
Bonus Points If:
-
You have a SAP certification in SAP Technology, HANA Administration, or SAP S/4HANA System Administration.
-
You have experience with SAP BTP platform operations in a transformation context — subaccount governance, Cloud Connector management, and identity/authentication integration (SAP Cloud Identity Services).
-
You have familiarity with SAP RISE and the BTP shared responsibility model, including what falls within vs. outside SAP-managed scope.
-
You have exposure to SAP IDoc/ALE operations, archiving frameworks, and data volume management at scale.
-
You have experience integrating SAP Basis operations with enterprise ITSM platforms in SAP delivery contexts.
-
You have experience with tools such as SLO, SNP and SLT
-
You have scripting exposure (Python, Shell, or PowerShell) applied to Basis task automation or monitoring.
-
You have functional understanding of SAP Finance (FI/CO), Supply Chain (MM/SD/EWM), or Manufacturing (PP/QM) to support cross-functional platform triage and cutover planning.
