Join Accenture's Technology Strategy & Transformation (TS&T) practice within the Global Network and help organizations unlock the value of data as a strategic enterprise asset. As a Data Strategy & Governance Consultant, you will work with leading organizations across industries to define data strategies, modernize data platforms, strengthen governance frameworks, and enable trusted, secure, and compliant data ecosystems that support business growth and innovation.
In this role, you will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to drive data transformation initiatives, establish governance operating models, and translate regulatory and business requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Transformation

• Assess current-state data landscapes, architecture, operating models, and business requirements to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Conduct data maturity and platform assessments to evaluate scalability, performance, security, and business alignment.
• Design target-state data architectures, including cloud-native solutions such as data lakehouses, data mesh, and data fabric architectures.
• Develop data modernization roadmaps, migration strategies, and target operating models that support long-term business objectives.
• Partner with data engineering, analytics, architecture, and business teams to translate strategic objectives into executable solutions.
• Support business case development, value realization planning, and stakeholder engagement activities.

Data Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Design and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, including data ownership, stewardship, policies, standards, and operating procedures.
• Define data classification, access management, and governance controls to ensure appropriate handling of sensitive and critical data assets.
• Establish data quality management frameworks, including monitoring processes, quality metrics, dashboards, and remediation workflows.
• Advise stakeholders on data privacy, protection, retention, and security requirements, ensuring alignment with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
• Develop governance mechanisms that support data transparency, accountability, risk management, and digital trust.
• Support the development of AI governance frameworks, responsible AI controls, and data-related model risk management practices.

Stakeholder & Practice Development

• Facilitate workshops and engage with business, technology, legal, cybersecurity, and executive stakeholders to define and align data initiatives.
• Contribute to proposals, thought leadership, business development activities, and client presentations.
• Support knowledge sharing and mentoring initiatives within the practice.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 5 to 8 years of experience in data strategy, data governance, data management, data architecture, or related consulting roles.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data governance frameworks and data management best practices.
• Experience designing or assessing modern data platforms and cloud-based data architectures.
• Knowledge of data privacy, regulatory compliance, and data risk management principles, including regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and PDPA.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with data governance and catalog tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or Alation.
• Knowledge of data architecture patterns including data lakehouse, data mesh, and data fabric.
• Experience implementing data quality frameworks and data governance operating models.
• Professional certifications such as CDMP, DAMA, CDPSE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, or AWS Certified Data Analytics.
• Experience working in management consulting, technology consulting, or large-scale transformation programs.
