Job summary
As a Revenue Growth Management Consultant, you will work on RGM projects across our CPG client portfolio — contributing to the delivery of pricing strategy, price pack architecture, promotional guardrail design, mix management, and trade terms workstreams under the guidance of senior RGM practitioners. You will bring a minimum of 2 years of direct RGM experience inside a CPG company or through a consulting engagement, and working knowledge across at least 2–3 of the five core RGM levers: Pricing, Price Pack Architecture (PPA), Promotional Strategy, Mix Management, and Trade Terms. The role requires CPG commercial grounding, structured analytical skills, and a genuine understanding of how RGM decisions are made and executed in practice — to contribute effectively to the delivery of scalable, future-ready RGM solutions.
Roles and responsibilities
· Work on RGM strategy and transformation workstreams for CPG clients — contributing to pricing strategy, price pack architecture, promotional guardrail design, mix management, and trade terms review across the project lifecycle, from analysis and insight generation through to recommendation development and implementation support. Build a strong understanding of how each lever connects to the client's commercial decision-making and P&L.
· Support cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Category, Marketing, and Sales teams on client engagements — preparing materials, analyses, and structured outputs that connect RGM recommendations to brand P&L implications, trade investment budgets, and customer-level commercial decisions.
· Support the development of RGM governance frameworks and playbooks — including promotional guardrails, pricing approval processes, and KPI frameworks — contributing to process documentation, decision-flow mapping, and stakeholder materials that embed commercial discipline within client teams.
· Prepare materials that support the translation of RGM strategy into field execution — including commercial team briefing documents on pricing, PPA, mix, and trade terms decisions, and promotional framework summaries and guardrail guides used by Key Account Managers in retailer negotiations on trade events and promotional funding.
· Build client-side RGM capability — support the preparation of training materials, process guides, and working session content that helps client commercial teams understand RGM principles, pricing logic, and promotional ROI frameworks; contribute to raising the client's commercial confidence in day-to-day RGM decisions.
· Support senior RGM practitioners in client interactions — preparing structured materials, scenario analyses, and working session outputs that enable the team to bring a clear point of view to client pricing reviews, promotional planning sessions, line review cycles, and JBP preparations. Help frame the commercial question before reaching for the data, and package findings in a way the client can take into a retailer conversation and defend.
· Contribute to the development of RGM consulting assets and reusable frameworks — including pricing governance models, PPA decision trees, promotional guardrail toolkits, and mix scorecards — supporting the RGM practice in building high-quality, repeatable deliverables.
· Support business development activities by contributing to proposal development, research, and RGM proposition materials — building knowledge of how the practice identifies and shapes new CPG commercial engagements.
· Develop familiarity with AI-powered RGM tools — dynamic pricing engines, promotional scenario simulators, and mix optimisation platforms — contributing structured analytical inputs and supporting senior practitioners in advising clients on how these tools can be integrated into commercial planning and governance processes.
Professional & Technical Skills:
· Commercial RGM knowledge: working experience across at least 2–3 of the five RGM levers — Pricing, Price Pack Architecture, Promotional Strategy, Mix Management, and Trade Terms — with the ability to contribute meaningfully to client workstreams in each area.
· Working knowledge of how CPG commercial decisions are made across the RGM value chain — including pricing review cycles, price pack architecture governance, promotional planning and guardrail design, post-promotional performance management, mix and portfolio strategy, and trade terms review.
· Cross-functional awareness: understanding of how RGM connects to Finance, Marketing, Category, and Sales — including how RGM decisions affect brand P&L and trade investment budgets, and how promotional guardrails translate into field execution through Key Account Managers and TPM systems.
· Analytics literacy: able to work alongside analytics teams, frame a business question, interpret outputs — elasticity models, promotional ROI, mix diagnostics, syndicated data — and package findings into structured, client-ready materials.
· CPG pricing and promotions awareness: working knowledge of pricing architecture concepts (price corridors, pack-price roles, gross-to-net leakage) and promotional effectiveness metrics (incremental volume, ROI, baseline vs. uplift, cannibalisation, trade spend efficiency).
Familiarity with RGM and TPM platforms (e.g. Anaplan, SAP TPM, Visualfabriq) as a strategic user — understanding what they enable and where they constrain execution. Ability to evaluate RGM solutions based on business needs, commercial priorities, integration with sales and finance systems, and long-term value.
Structured output quality: ability to translate RGM analysis into clear, well-structured client materials — presentations, decision frameworks, process maps — that communicate commercial implications and recommended actions concisely.
· Stakeholder support: comfortable contributing to client interactions, preparing materials for senior commercial audiences, and communicating findings clearly — calibrating depth and language to the seniority and commercial background of the room.
· BD awareness: exposure to or interest in business development — able to contribute to proposal preparation, research, and RGM proposition materials as part of a consulting team.
· Consulting craft: structured problem-solving, reliable delivery, strong follow-through on commitments — with a genuine curiosity about CPG commercial decisions and an eagerness to grow RGM domain knowledge across all five levers.
Tool literacy: growing familiarity with RGM and TPM platforms (e.g. Anaplan, SAP TPM, Visualfabriq) and AI-powered commercial tools — understanding what they enable for clients and how they fit into pricing, promotional, and mix planning processes.
Additional information:
· 3–5 years of progressive experience in commercial, RGM, trade marketing, category management, or strategy roles within CPG and/or consulting — with a minimum of 2 years directly in RGM at a CPG company or on a CPG RGM consulting engagement.
· MBA from a Tier 1 institute strongly preferred; or equivalent degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or Strategy.
· Demonstrated experience contributing to CPG commercial and RGM engagements — including pricing strategy, promotional guardrail design, trade terms review, and mix management — supporting delivery across the project lifecycle from analysis and insight generation through to recommendation development and implementation.
Educational Qualification: MBA from a Tier 1 institute strongly preferred; or equivalent degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or Strategy.
