Job Summary
The Geographic Legal Lead CORE for KSA (“Country Geographich Legal Lead”) provides general legal support to one or more countries, and is part of the Compliance, Operations, Regulatory and Ethics Legal team that focuses on Accenture’s operations continuity and local compliance.  The Country Legal Lead is responsible for the quality and delivery of all legal support to Accenture’s Country Companies, joint ventures, and all other affiliates of the country he/she is in charge of.  The Country Legal Lead is a member of the Accenture Geographic Legal leadership. is responsible for Corporate, Compliance and Operation legal support in the Country, the implementation of Corporate and Compliance Global programs, driving local compliance requirements towards Global programs and implementing these requirements locally- The Country Legal Lead is critical for ensuring that compliance policies are understood and embraced by everyone on the Country Team.. He/she also acts as Legal advisor to the Country Managing Director and Senior Leadership in the country 
key responsibilities
  • Organize, anticipate and maintain local compliance through regular support and monitoring of Accenture’s general legal needs, with the objective of avoiding the disruption or discontinuity of Accenture local operations for non compliance reasons:
  1. ensure compliance of local operations with local laws, within the framework of Accenture’s global compliance program;
  2. Implement regular support and monitoring of Accenture’s general local  legal needs;
c)act as a single point of contact for that country
  1.  provides general Legal coverage in each of the country: local Labor and Employment, Entity Matters, Data Privacy support and General Legal support as needed and makes sure:
  • Country’s general legal risks are properly identified, managed and monitored;
  • small or new countries are effectively covered, in particular high risks countries;
  • adequate, relevant and proportionate action plans  are designed and implemented as needed;
  • close relationship are developed by the country legal director or  liaison with local leadership.
  • Organize and direct Legal team efforts, including Entity Matters and Labor & Employment support as needed, in line with Accenture geographic development strategy and geo expansion plans:
  • provides Geo and local needs of other corporate functions, in particular Human Resources and Tax.
  • Collaborate effectively with other corporate functions in support of the Geographies.
Responsible for managing outside counsel support as decided upon by the Legal Leadership
  • -the Country Legal Lead is expected to consistently demonstrate leadership behaviors such as Integrity, Respect for the Individual, Stewardship, Client Service and collaborative decision-making as well as to ensure that the personnel in Accenture adhere to Accenture's Code of Business Ethics
  • Support the Global Compliance strategy and the related Global Compliance programs implementation, in particular, working with the Global Compliance team, the Global Geographic Compliance Coordinator as a key component of our geographic compliance effort in the Country.
  • As per the applicable Compliance Responsibility Matrix that describes the responsibilities of the Compliance stakeholders of the Legal group,
    1. help determine the local dimension and local feasibility of Accenture compliance programs;
    2. contribute to local policy design and implementation, training, monitoring and auditing;
    3. advocate Compliance programs at  the local level with the Country leadership;
    4. work with the  Country Team to support Internal Audit team as needed.
  • • Responsible for Corporate and Compliance matters in the Country (in close collaboration with relevant Legal Subject Matter Experts - SMEs), including the implementation of the global Corporate and Compliance program; in that capacity, advise the Board of directors or equivalent body and senior leadership
  • • Share the Legal risk patterns and trends in the various markets or Client Accounts across the Country with the Regional Lead of Legal Services CORE and Contracting for the Geography and contribute to the development of measures to actively address and manage Legal risk patterns and trends, reducing the impact of such patterns and trends on the geography overall risk profile.
  • Foster effective integration and teaming relationships with the other Compliance, Operations, Regulatory and Ethics  Legal Services teams;
  • Collaborates  with the Offering Legal architects to help localize Offerings as well as with all teams in Contracting Services and Contract Management;
  • Support Litigation & Disputes, Corporate Investigations and the Internal Audit team, as needed. Help review settlements of disputes;
  • Provide coordinated legal education and training to the practice, to the other Compliance, Operations, Regulatory and Ethics  Legal Services teams, and to the Contracting Services legal professionals and Local Leadership;
  • Serve as an escalation point for the   Geo Compliance, Operations, Regulatory and Ethics legal issues; confer with/facilitate escalation to the Compliance, Operations, Regulatory and Ethics Global Lead;
  • Assist with preparation of Regional approval underlying documentation for certain policies (gifts and entertainments, Third parties).
  • making recommendations to the MET Director of Legal Services CORE and the Senior Directors of Legal Services CORE and Contracting of the Geography
  • Understand the Country Managing Director's strategy and priorities in the Country and work with the Regional Lead of Legal Services CORE
Education:   JD or equivalent law degree required.
Work Experience:  7+ years of experience as an attorney, at least 2 of which involved experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
Knowledge and Skills REQUIREMENTS:
  • Deep knowledge of, or ability to understand, the relevant laws and also the work culture in the Regions (including those pertaining to compliance). Solid understanding of employment regulations although no specific specialization required.
  • Ability to work with and manage personnel remotely.
Integrative personality, good communicator.
• Ability to build professional network in the absence of formal reporting lines.
• Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Responsive and follows through on commitments.
  • Proven track record of managing successfully teams of professionals and external law firms, able to manage a global team of legal professionals with diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment, ability to make decisions.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to work effectively with the most senior business leaders at Accenture, managing partners from law firms, and the chief legal officers of Accenture’s clients.
  • Arabic speaker and Fluent in English; fluency in other languages also is a plus.
