We partner with Legal teams across Accenture to build efficiencies and centres of excellence related to Legal services; and through our size, geographic spread and language diversity, the Global Legal Network is able to drive quality, agility and speed in our services, aligned to Accenture’s relentless focus on maximum efficiency and operational effectiveness.
CORE and Global Services Legal (CGS) is a group of legal professionals working and supporting different legal areas such as Compliance, Regulatory Offerings, Ethics, Procurement, Corporate Matters and the Services Areas aligned with the new offerings and technologies such as S&C, Interactive, Technology, Security and Operations.
Operations Trust & Safety Role Summary – Accenture Operations delivers tangible value for our clients through the creation of highly skilled human + machine workforces, powered by data and insights, to create an evolved ‘intelligent’ operating model.This role is an exciting opportunity to provide legal support to Operations’ Trust and Safety business, which includes content moderation (T&S). Our T&S offering comprises eight service lines covering a range of activities such as Advertising Review, Shopping & Payment Compliance and moderation of User Generated Content, applying guidelines that the client has developed. T&S is essential to keeping the internet safe—and it is even more critical as the pandemic rapidly accelerated internet use.
Develop understanding of Global Services Legal needs and priorities, strategy, objectives, and opportunities
Good understanding of relevant company policies
Enhance subject-matter expertise in the concerned support area
Act as a POC and escalation point for the support area
Understand, suggest, and encourage process improvements in the support area
Collaborate with tech teams in development of new tool or enhancement of existing ones
Create checklists and other process documents
Represent GLN; directly liaison with internal stakeholders on various issues
Supervise the management of SharePoint and communication records
Drive relevant trainings identified for team awareness and professional development
Support implementation of new initiatives in Global Services Legal support area or within Legal/GLN
Build credible and effective relationships with onshore counsels and within GLN team
Proactively try to ‘give back’ to GLN/Legal.
Specific Responsibilities aligned to Role:
Work proactively to implement T&S governance processes such as new client due diligence and new location assessments.
Collaborate with cross functional SME’s to ensure input from and awareness among key stakeholders in accordance with T&S Operating principles.
Liaise with the business to clarify the scope of Accenture’s services, asking the right questions to establish the facts and recognize a departure from approved services lines.
Monitor trends and track for consistency.
Work collaboratively with SME’s across the wider legal team to assess legal risks as the T&S offering evolves.
Assist in rolling out governance initiatives as they evolve to ensure appropriate awareness among delivery teams.
Develop content for decks for senior leadership and request/collate SME and business input.
Take on assignments as required by Legal Leads for Operations and/or the Global Legal Lead for Operations.
Independently handle communication with internal clients, business teams and stakeholders on various legal matters.
Execute tasks with autonomy and good judgement, independently providing effective solutions to encountered complexities and providing error-free work results.
Perform research of laws and regulations or technical aspects applicable to assigned requests.
Lead specific ad-hoc projects, coordinating team members and aligning with other areas.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrate lateral thinking and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone in a rapidly evolving area of the Operations business.
Demonstrate keen awareness of confidentiality obligations and how to handle Accenture’s confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
An interest in emerging technologies such as the Metaverse and Web3, and Accenture’s vision of the Metaverse Continuum.
Awareness of current affairs and legal developments that might impact our platform and other technology clients.
Functional understanding of legal issues related to bringing new offerings to market in a legally compliant manner, including offerings utilizing machine learning and third party data.
Working knowledge of: (a) data and security privacy issues; (b) IP law; (c) OSS licensing; and (d) general product development considerations.

Accenture CORE, Contracting and Litigation legal counsel, Government Relations, client delivery teams and CAL’s and other relevant SME’s
Bachelor’s degree in Law
Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience at law firm or as in-house counsel and/or in legal outsourcing
Travel may be required
Fluency in English (and other language, depending on geography supported) with strong oral and written communication skills.
