Are you energized by solving complex planning challenges across global supply chains? Do you thrive in environments where strategic thinking drives operational excellence? At Accenture, we’re seeking a Senior Business Planner with at least 4 years of relevant experience to lead transformative planning initiatives that shape the future of supply chain performance for our clients worldwide.

Location & Work Setup
This role is based in the Eindhoven area and follows a hybrid work model.

Role Mission
This role is strategically focused — not just about managing day-to-day operations but about designing and leading long-term planning frameworks that elevate supply chain resilience, agility, and efficiency. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, driving continuous improvement and innovation while leading cross-functional teams by example. Success in this role requires an entrepreneurial mindset: the ability to challenge the status quo, identify opportunities for transformation, and take initiative in shaping future-ready planning ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Material Availability

  • Develop and maintain forward-looking demand and supply forecasts (0–24 month horizon).

  • Provide reliable planning signals to suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Support investment decisions for capacity expansion (1–3 year horizon).

  • Influence planning strategy across client organizations.

Inventory & Risk Management

  • Define buffer strategies and inventory policies.

  • Conduct excess & obsolescence (E&O) risk assessments.

  • Resolve inefficiencies and mitigate overplanning.

Planning Optimization & Innovation

  • Refine planning parameters and methodologies.

  • Implement best-fit planning policies (e.g., manual vs. MRP).

  • Introduce innovative approaches such as demand leveling.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Operate independently with a high degree of ownership.

  • Lead by example in stakeholder engagement and decision-making.

  • Align with demand planning, supplier management, product lifecycle, and production teams.

  • Facilitate consensus on supply plans and corrective actions.

Education

  • Master’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in strategic supply chain planning, S&OP, and production scheduling.

  • Hands-on expertise with SAP ERP, IBP, APO, and HANA.

  • Track record of successful project leadership and stakeholder management.

Key Competencies

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of how planning decisions impact financial performance, including working capital, cost of goods sold, and service levels. Experience across product lifecycle stages and a customer-focused mindset.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and a bias toward action. Comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying growth opportunities, and driving change through innovative thinking and calculated risk-taking.

  • Analytical Thinking: Skilled in scenario planning, forecasting, and data interpretation using tools such as Excel and Power BI.

  • Communication & Influence: Effective at simplifying complex topics, aligning stakeholders, and driving decisions without direct authority.

  • Planning Expertise: Deep knowledge of ERP/MRP logic and experience in optimizing planning processes and parameters.

  • Behavioral Attributes: Resilient, proactive, culturally aware, and committed to continuous improvement. Fluent in English.
