Consultant Sourcing & Procurement – Resources Industry Group (Amsterdam)


You are an experienced procurement consultant and do you want to contribute to developments and innovations in a rapidly changing market?


As Sourcing & Procurement consultant, you are involved in driving our client’s Sourcing and Procurement agenda, focused on realizing value. Together with our team, you analyze and improve our client’s procurement organization. You design programs to implement procurement strategies and operating models that integrate planning, purchasing and sales within organizations. You optimize existing processes and relationships with suppliers and customers across the entire value chain. 


As a key team member, you will be given the autonomy to drive your deliverables while being part of a larger engagement. You will be supported by our global knowledge exchange network and leverage our experience. To contribute to executive decision making, you capture relevant data and information, perform quantitative and qualitative analyses and report on the outcomes. You will work closely with our clients at different levels in the organization and help them to implement the changes they need to remain competitive and add value through procurement excellence. Moreover, you are ambitious and committed to develop yourself and be able to train and develop more junior consultants to develop a strong Sourcing & Procurement team.

As a Sourcing and Procurement consultant at Accenture, you can help your clients to perform optimally in these complex conditions. Our work supports customers to strengthen their core and pivot to the new. Think of supporting customers to develop new business models and optimize their procurement processes and value chain, digital technologies to optimize procurement processes, improving demand forecasting processes by, for example, using advanced analytics and optimizing trading Processes in the North West European energy markets. 


As Sourcing and Procurement consultant you will be working at Accenture's Resources practice. As the name suggests our group helps major chemical, electricity, oil and gas companies to succeed in the complex and changing landscape in which they operate.The Resources Practice is divided into the groups Energy, Utilities and Chemicals & Natural Resources. 


Within our Resources Practice, professionals collaborate globally and share knowledge and tools in an active network and in specific communities or practices. Our Resources professionals also work closely with the professionals in our Strategy, Digital, Technology and Operations groups.


If you join our team, you will be given the unique opportunity to work with a consulting team that is dedicated to shaping the supply chain of tomorrow. 


Qualifications 

  • Completed Master's degree program;
  • 5 - 6 years of supply chain experience, with a focus on procurement;
  • Consulting experience;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • In possession of driving license B.
