Summary
Process Simulation Engineer with hands-on experience in Siemens Tecnomatix Process Simulate, responsible for supporting robotic, assembly, and human simulation activities across manufacturing programs. The role focuses on virtual validation, process feasibility checks, cycle time analysis, and optimization, helping identify manufacturing risks early in the development cycle. The engineer works under the guidance of a Process Simulation Lead and collaborates closely with design, automation, and manufacturing teams in automotive or industrial manufacturing environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
Support Process Simulation activities using Siemens Tecnomatix Process Simulate across assigned programs and manufacturing areas.
Develop and validate robotic process simulations including welding, assembly, material handling, and automated operations under Lead guidance.
Perform assembly process simulation, operation sequence validation, and basic part flow analysis.
Conduct human simulation and ergonomic studies such as posture, reach, accessibility, and EAWS assessments.
Validate resource interactions, process logic, and material flow to support manufacturability and safety.
Execute collision detection, clearance analysis, and reachability checks for robots, tools, and human operations.
Perform cycle time analysis and line balancing inputs to support throughput and production target validation.
Assist in what-if scenario simulations to evaluate alternate process concepts and optimization opportunities.
Support virtual validation and sign-off activities prior to physical build.
Contribute to manufacturing digital twin models by maintaining accurate simulation data.
Follow defined simulation standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Work closely with design engineering, automation, controls, and manufacturing teams to resolve simulation findings.
Prepare simulation reports, screenshots, and presentations for internal and customer reviews.
Support pre-sales or proposal activities by providing simulation inputs and technical data as required.
Professional & Technical Skills
Must-Have Skills, Hands-on proficiency in Siemens Tecnomatix Process Simulate
Understanding of robotic process simulation (welding, assembly, material handling)
Basic knowledge of human simulation and ergonomic analysis (posture, reach, EAWS)
Awareness of Virtual Commissioning workflows and PLC-driven logic concepts
Understanding of cycle time analysis and basic line balancing.
Additional Information:
- A 15-year full-time education is required.
