Your role
As a Mainframe Developer, you will work on core banking platforms in long‑term client engagements, contributing to systems that are central to the daily operations of major Nordic banks. You will collaborate with skilled colleagues across Finland and the Nordics, focusing on reliability, quality and continuous improvement. This role offers a balance of stability and development, with opportunities to grow your expertise and influence over time.
What you will do
- Develop, maintain and enhance applications using COBOL and DB2 in IBM Mainframe environments
- Work on core banking platforms supporting business‑critical processes
- Participate in analysis, design, development and testing across the application lifecycle
- Collaborate with Nordic and international teams in long‑term client engagements
- Contribute to code reviews and ensure solutions follow best practices
- Support stable operations while taking part in gradual modernization initiatives

Requirements
- Several years of hands‑on experience in Mainframe development
- Experience working in long‑term client engagements, preferably in banking or financial services
- Ability to work permanently in Finland
Required qualifications & skills
- Strong experience with COBOL and DB2
- Understanding of core banking platforms and processes
- Experience with mission‑critical systems
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent Finnish and English, written and spoken
Nice‑to‑have skills
- Experience with JCL, MQ or online transaction processing
- Knowledge of accounts, payments, cards, settlement or bookkeeping processes
- Exposure to modernization or transformation initiatives in legacy environments
