Head of AI, Microsoft Business Group
Role overview: AI is redefining how organisations operate, compete and grow. We are looking for an exceptional leader to build and scale the next generation of Microsoft's AI business in Ireland and helping clients move beyond pilots to unlock real enterprise value.
This is more than a delivery role. You will shape our AI strategy, influence C-suite conversations, deepen our Microsoft partnership, develop market-leading AI offerings, and build a world-class AI engineering team to drive transformative outcomes across industries.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the growth and strategy of our Microsoft AI practice in Ireland.
- Shape AI transformation agendas with senior client and Microsoft stakeholders.
- Drive origination, proposals and strategic pursuits.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of AI architects, engineers and consultants.
- Lead the architecture and delivery of generative AI, agentic AI and machine learning solutions at enterprise scale.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, unblock complex issues and assure technical quality across programmes.
- Define reusable assets, accelerators and engineering standards.
- Establish best practices across AI engineering, governance, security, responsible AI and operational excellence.
- Represent the practice through thought leadership, executive briefings and industry events.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- A recognised AI leader with a track record of building teams, capabilities or businesses.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior client stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in enterprise AI, cloud engineering, data platforms and solution architecture.
- Experience leading complex AI, software, data or digital transformation programmes.
- Commercially minded, with experience shaping opportunities and driving growth.
- Passion for emerging technologies and turning innovation into measurable business outcomes.
Desirable: Azure AI Services & Azure OpenAI, Agentic AI and AI orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI evaluation, observability and safety, Enterprise integration and API architectures, Python and cloud-native engineering, Microsoft 365 Copilot & Copilot Studio, Power Platform & Dynamics 365, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and modern data platforms, MLOps, MLflow and Kubernetes.
