You Are:

An AI, machine learning, and statistical programming guru with tons of experience in data engineering architecture. Your superpower? Applying modern data and cloud technologies to design and build stand-out data solutions that help clients meet the challenges of digitization so they can do more. You’re in your element juggling modern data technologies like Hadoop and NoSQL and you know how to use them to forge a modern data platform. As a senior manager, you have leadership skills in spades and expertise in managing large teams and/or projects at a client.

 

The Work:

  • Oversee efforts to provide solutions to digital-age data challenges facing clients in multiple industries
  • Design and build an ecosystem of modern data technologies on premise and on GCP cloud
  • Revamp the current platform by re-engineering data acquisition, storage, processing, security, data management, governance, and analysis
  • Work with clients to define the future-state architectures of their data platforms and play a lead role in setting up a roadmap to reach that state
  • Spot and assess complex problems for area(s) you’re in charge of
  • Take part in setting strategic direction to set near-term goals for area(s) of responsibility
  • Possess a solid grasp of what’s involved in planning, scaling, deployment, and operations that are unique to Hadoop, NoSQL and other emerging modern data technologies



Qualifications

Here’s What You Need:

  • Minimum 5+ years of architecting, implementing, and successfully operationalizing large-scale data solutions in production environments using Hadoop and NoSQL ecosystem on premise or on GCP using many of the relevant technologies such as BigQuery, DataProc, Sub/Pub.  
  • Minimum 5+ years of architecting data and building performant data models at scale for Hadoop/NoSQL ecosystem of data stores to support different business consumption patterns off a centralized data platform  
  • Minimum 5+ years of Spark/MR/ETL processing, including Java, Python, Scala, Talend; for data analysis of production Big Data applications 
  • Minimum 5+ years of architecting and industrializing data lakes or real-time platforms for an enterprise enabling business applications and usage at scale 
  • Minimum 5+ years designing and implementing relational data models working with RDBMS and understanding of the challenges in these environments 

Bonus Points :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Science or 8 years of IT/Programming experience 
  • You have a minimum of 5+ years of experience implementing large-scale secure cloud data solutions using Google data and analytics services—e.g., BigQuery, DataProc 
  • You have a minimum of 5+ years of experience building data management (metadata, lineage, tracking, etc.) and governance solutions for modern data platforms that use Hadoop and NoSQL on premise or on Google cloud  
  • You have a minimum of 5+ years of Re-architecting and rationalizing traditional data warehouses on premise or transition to Google cloud
