Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Structures Inspector, ANS
THE WORK:
- You'll perform and oversee inspection of structural work including bridges, retaining walls, and related heavy civil components
- You'll ensure construction complies with project plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
- You'll coordinate closely with contractors, designers, and client representatives on structural issues.
- You'll review submittals, RFIs, and field changes related to structural elements.
- You'll document inspection activities, maintain daily reports, and support project controls systems.
- You'll identify and proactively resolve construction and quality issues in the field.
- You'll provide mentorship and guidance to junior inspectors and field staff.
$180,000 - $200,000 a year
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 15+ years of experience in construction inspection, with a strong focus on structural/bridge work
- 10+ years of experience on heavy civil transportation projects (rail, roadway, grade separations, or similar)
- 10+ years of experience in structural inspection, including reinforced concrete, steel structures, and foundation systems
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Strong understanding of Caltrans standards and specifications preferred
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Caltrans Structure Representative, ACI, AWS, or equivalent) strongly preferred
