Infrastructure & Capital Projects- Senior Project Cost Analyst, ANS
THE WORK:
- You’ll build and maintain cost models, perform scenario analysis, and prepare cash flow estimates to support the monthly present estimate (PE) process.
- You’ll analyze cost and schedule impacts of scope changes and trends, delivering clear presentations of numerical analysis.
- You’ll monitor and update project budgets and actuals, provide accurate financial and cost reporting, perform trending analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- You’ll interface with internal and external project teams to support cost control monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
- You’ll provide cost management support by identifying gaps and opportunities, recommending improvements to cost engineering data standards, and tracking monthly spend for earned value and forecast predictability.
- You’ll perform forensic analysis on project spend and forecasts to ensure budget adherence.
- You’ll lead or assist in developing and maintaining the Issue and Risk Register, as well as Cost Quantitative Risk Analyses (QRAs).
- You’ll utilize COGNOS, Power BI, Maximo, and Power Plan to perform analyses, interpret outputs, and prepare data-driven presentations.
- You’ll demonstrate strong documentation, technical writing, and organizational skills to meet ROD requirements, prudency reviews, deposition hearings, PSC filings, Change Order processes, and other legal requirements, while applying solid document management skills.
- You’ll demonstrate commitment to safety through active participation in safety meetings, inspections, and field observations.

- The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships

$120,000 - $140,000 a year
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- B.S. in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering Discipline, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
- Direct cost analysis experience on Utility New Gas Power Plant project or large ($300M+) Process Industry projects
- Sr. PCA: 6+ yrs experience
- Understanding of commercial agreements and contracting strategies
- Understanding of project schedule impact on cost forecasting and integration of schedule in cost
- Proficient and expert experience level in Cognos, Power BI, Maximo, Power Plan, and Microsoft Office
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Working knowledge of the regulatory agencies for which the projects will be governed. These include NERC/MISO/FERC/Public Service Commission/City Council, etc. where applicable.
