Position Summary & Primary Objectives

Reporting to the Director – Cloud Security and Solutions (CS2), the Senior Consultant is responsible for engaging with customers to solve their current and most challenging cloud and transformation problems, protect their future and empower them and their team to thrive during a transformative time for them as an organisation.

The Senior Consultant is an experienced cloud infrastructure professional capable of leading client meetings and producing high-quality deliverables with minimal supervision.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working with the CS2 Consulting team to develop complex cloud solutions.
  • Designing and implementing complex cloud solutions that involve multiple cloud services and technologies, including assisting with the architecture, selecting the appropriate cloud services and tools, and ensuring that the solution meets the customer's performance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Promoting cloud adoption across the Customers’ organisation and working with business leaders and IT teams to identify opportunities for leveraging cloud technologies to drive business value. Including identifying the most appropriate cloud services and tools to meet the customers’ needs, managing the migration process, and providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on cloud delivery and providing guidance, direction and support to the customer's IT team through troubleshooting issues, optimising performance, and providing guidance on security and compliance best practices.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to junior cloud consultants on best practices, project management, and technical skills development.
  • Continuously monitoring the cloud industry for emerging trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporating them into the customer's cloud strategy and roadmap.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is typically preferred.
  • Current certifications for relevant Cloud services (Specialist or Expert level) is preferred. Industry certifications are also advantageous. Knowledge and experience in cloud technologies, including cloud architecture, cloud computing services, and cloud deployment models.
  • Experience in managing complex IT projects, including project planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues, and to design and implement effective cloud solutions.
