SAP Transportation Management Consultant
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant to join our Supply Chain & SAP practice. The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting transportation planning and execution processes within SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of transportation logistics, freight planning, carrier management, transportation execution, and freight settlement processes, along with experience integrating SAP TM with SAP SD, EWM, MM, and Logistics Execution.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Consulting
Gather and analyse transportation and logistics business requirements.
Conduct workshops, fit-gap analysis, and solution design sessions.
Configure SAP TM processes and transportation master data.
Prepare functional specifications for enhancements and integrations.
Drive solution design aligned with SAP TM best practices.
Transportation Management
Configure and support:
Transportation Planning
Freight Order Management
Freight Unit Building
Carrier Selection & Tendering
Route Planning & Optimization
Transportation Execution
Freight Settlement
Charge Calculation
Shipment Tracking & Monitoring
Support inbound and outbound transportation processes.
Improve transportation network efficiency and logistics execution.
Integration
Work closely with:
SAP S/4HANA
SAP SD
SAP EWM
SAP MM
SAP LE
External Carrier Solutions
EDI / API Integrations
Ensure seamless transportation document flow from Order to Delivery and Freight Execution. An internal SAP TM training course specifically highlights SAP TM integration across the Order-to-Cash process and transportation execution
Project Delivery
Support implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects.
Participate in SIT, UAT, regression testing, cutover, and hypercare support.
Assist business users during go-live and stabilization phases.
Work with technical teams on interfaces and custom developments

Strong experience in:
Transportation Planning
Freight Order Management
Transportation Execution
Carrier Selection
Freight Cost Management
Freight Settlement
Experience with SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management.
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
Experience integrating SAP TM with SAP SD, EWM, MM, and Logistics solutions. SAP learning materials emphasize transportation management integration with SAP Supply Chain and S/4HANA environments
