Functional Business Analyst (Core Banking)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering workshops with business and IT stakeholders across core banking domains such as deposits, lending, payments, and treasury.
- Analyze, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
- Produce key project artefacts including BRDs, FDDs, process flows, and use cases.
- Support functional configuration, SIT, UAT, and defect resolution activities.
- Participate in data migration, ensuring data mapping, validation, and reconciliation requirements are met.
- Act as the primary liaison between business users and project teams, managing stakeholder expectations and facilitating sign-offs.
- Support project governance, change management, training, and user readiness activities.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in core banking implementation or transformation projects.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Lead Functional BA or Functional Lead role.
- Strong knowledge of core banking domains including deposits, lending, payments, or transaction banking.
- Experience delivering at least one end-to-end core banking implementation.
- Strong stakeholder management, business analysis, and documentation skills.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
