What You’ll Do
- Architect and evolve enterprise-scale data platforms, defining standards for data integration, storage, processing and governance across cloud environments;
- Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end data governance frameworks, embedding quality, lineage and classification by design;
- Engage with C-level and senior client stakeholders to translate business requirements into data architecture strategies and roadmaps;
- Drive thought leadership on data platform trends, emerging technologies and best practices across internal and client-facing forums;
- Mentor and guide senior and junior engineers, setting technical direction and ensuring architectural consistency across delivery teams;
- Own the enterprise data architecture, including reference architectures, design patterns and platform standards;
- Define governance, security and compliance principles across data platforms, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, sector-specific regulations);
- Establish data modeling standards, metadata management strategies and master data management frameworks;
- Act as the primary escalation point for architectural decisions, platform issues and cross-team dependencies;
- Lead architecture reviews, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient and aligned with business and technology strategy;
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with client architecture and technology leadership.
What You Bring
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable field
10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or data platforms in complex enterprise environments;
- Deep expertise in cloud data architectures, preferably Azure (Data Lake Gen2, Synapse, Purview, Azure Data Factory);
- Strong command of data governance, data quality and master data management frameworks (e.g. DMBOK);
- Proven experience designing and delivering multi-environment, multi-domain data platforms at scale;
- Track record of engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and translating strategy into architecture;
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g. financial services, energy, utilities) is a strong plus;
- Professional English C1 level (spoken and written – mandatory);
- French and/or Dutch is a plus;
- Strong collaboration skills within distributed and cross‑functional teams;
- Proactive mindset with a high sense of ownership and accountability;
- Structured approach to incident and problem management;
- Ability to prioritize workload efficiently in a dynamic environment.
