SAP Business Data Cloud Consultant
Role Overview
As an SAP Business Data Cloud Consultant, you will design, implement, and optimize cloud‑based data solutions on SAP’s Business Data Cloud (covering SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and integration with SAP & non‑SAP sources). You will translate business requirements into scalable data models, analytics, and insights that support data‑driven decision‑making.
This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and business consulting.
To keep it short, below are the key responsibilities:
Design and implement data models and views in SAP Business Data Cloud / SAP Datasphere
Integrate data from SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, BW) and non‑SAP sources
Build and optimize end‑to‑end data pipelines in the cloud
Develop analytical models, stories, and dashboards using SAP Analytics Cloud
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance
Support business users by translating reporting and analytics requirements into technical solutions
Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and architects
Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize data flows
Contribute to data strategy, best practices, and cloud adoption initiatives
Support testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer
Technology Stack Used & Required Knowledge:
Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud / SAP Datasphere
Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts (fact/dimension, star schema)
Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (stories, models, planning is a plus)
SAP data sources: S/4HANA, ECC, BW, CDS views
SQL knowledge (SAP HANA SQL preferred)
Understanding of cloud data architectures
Experience with data integration & transformation
Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into data solutions
Experience working in project‑based or consulting environments
Nice to have:
SAP BW or BW/4HANA background
Knowledge of master data governance
Exposure to data governance, security, and authorizations
Experience with non‑SAP data platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake)
SAP certifications in Datasphere or Analytics Cloud
Experience with Databricks, AI/ML, or GenAI use cases
Knowledge of SAP Joule or AI‑embedded analytics
