Power Grid Consultant

What the Power Grid Consultant (Electrical Engineer) will do:
- Support Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and Distribution System Operators (DSOs) in planning the power grid of the future
- Work directly with clients as part of international consulting project teams
- Perform power system analyses (power flow, voltage, short‑circuit, N‑1, redispatch)
- Model and analyze national and regional electricity grids
- Contribute to grid stability, dynamics, and power quality studies
- Use advanced engineering and simulation tools to optimize grid operation
- Analyze energy market trends and support technology and business evaluations
What we are looking forward to
- You have completed a degree in electrical engineering or industrial engineering with a focus on electrical power engineering
- You have knowledge of the planning and operation of transmission and distribution networks
- You speak German (at least B2+, C1) and English (B1+) as well
- You are familiar with typical challenges related to transient stability of assets (e.g. HVDC systems, converters, electrolyzers, STATCOMs) and understand their relevance for grid operators and manufacturers
- You are interested in power system analysis software (e.g. NEPLAN, Integral, PowerFactory) and ideally have a confident command of MATLAB or Python
- You enjoy working on innovative topics and are willing to acquire new knowledge independently, and you bring the flexibility and mobility required in a consulting environment
