Project Controls Analyst

Location: Newcastle Upon-Tyne

Hybrid Working: Please note - This role will require you to work from our Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office 3 days per week.

As a Project Controls Service Analyst, you will:

  • Support successful delivery as part of the project management office for large scale, high-complexity programmes

  • Use data analytics to uncover actionable insights and inform programme strategy via relevant tools (e.g. Power BI)

  • Own and manage end to end operational data for large projects or programmes of work

  • Work with delivery teams to understand status, issues, risks and putting in place mitigation plans

  • Plan, budget creation, management and control using a bespoke suite of programme management tools; including setting up plans, tracking progress, and reporting variances.

  • Liaise with Commercial and Financial Management teams to ensure that programme and corporate finances are aligned and that the Programme is delivering to target

  • Manage internal and client stakeholder relationships

  • Responsible for identifying and driving continuous service improvement and process automation

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • Experience working as part of a project or programme management office (PMO)

  • Adept at managing complex plans and resource profiles over large programmes of work

  • Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen

  • Experience of data analytics and tooling e.g. Power BI

  • Experience in driving process automation and continuous service improvement

  • Exceptional communication skills – including verbal, written, and presenting to groups

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Proven ability to coach and mentor as part of a large team

  • A keen interest in technology
