Aftermarket Service Advisory Analyst - Japanese (Fresh Graduates are Welcomed)
Position Overview
The PDI Warranty Assessor is responsible for evaluating and validating warranty claims related to logistics damage, and pre-delivery defects identified during PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) for vehicles distributed in the Japan market.
The role ensures that all claims submitted by dealers or inspection teams comply with Company warranty policies, Japan market claim guidelines, and quality standards, while maintaining accurate documentation and efficient claim processing.
The assessor works closely with warranty operations, and vehicle preparation center to ensure proper defect classification, and correct claim submission using company internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. PDI Warranty Claim Assessment
Review and evaluate claims submitted for defects identified during Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI).
Confirm claim eligibility under guidelines.
Verify that claim submissions include sufficient documentation such as vehicle inspection sheet, clear defect photos, inspection reports, repair details
Ensure claims comply with Japan market warranty timelines and policies.
2. Defect Evaluation and Classification
Assess defects identified during PDI including body and paint defects, cosmetic defects, assembly defects, transport or logistics damage
Determine the appropriate classification - manufacturing defect or transport damage
3. Warranty Claim System Processing
Process claims assessments using internal warranty and service management systems.
Verify claim data accuracy including VIN information, labour operation codes, causal parts, repair procedures, supporting evidence
4. Internal Coordination
Coordinate with internal teams including Warranty Operations and Vehicle Preparation Operation
5. Quality Monitoring and Escalation
Monitor recurring defects detected during PDI inspections.
Escalate quality concerns to Warranty Operations and Vehicle Preparation Operation
6. Compliance and Policy Management
Ensure all claims comply with company warranty policies, Japan market warranty procedures, and internal audit requirements
Support internal warranty audits and claim quality checks.

Requirements
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, automative technology or any related technical field is preferred.
Fluent in English and Japanese (preferrably N2 and above)
Key Skills & Competencies (Good to Have)
Knowledge of automotive warranty claim processes
Understanding of PDI inspection standards
Ability to assess vehicle defects and supporting evidence
Strong attention to detail in claim validation
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective cross-functional communication
