Security Clearance Requirement: Given the secure nature of this role serving Government clients, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens with an active security clearance or are eligible for obtaining security clearance.
Remote working: Candidates will be required to be in Canberra office at least 3 days per week. Candidates willing to relocate to Canberra are welcome to apply.

Role Description
Take on a dynamic leadership role guiding the successful delivery of important projects within a large & complex client environment. You will integrate the structured approach of a Traditional Project Manager, the collaborative mindset of an Agile Scrum Master, and the forward-thinking vision of a Product Owner. You will oversee project plans, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and ensure alignment between business objectives, technical feasibility, and stakeholder needs. Adaptability and balancing multiple responsibilities are essential in this versatile role.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Define scope, objectives, and deliverables collaboratively with stakeholders. Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management: Act as primary contact for clients and stakeholders. Facilitate regular updates, meetings, and reviews. Manage expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently. Manage team workloads, resolve conflicts, and coordinate cross-functional collaboration.
Reporting and Governance: Track project performance using KPIs and metrics. Ensure compliance with governance frameworks. Prepare and present status reports to senior leaders.
Agile Facilitation: Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Remove impediments and foster continuous improvement.
Team Empowerment: Coach the team on Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, SAFe). Promote self-organisation and accountability.
Vision and Roadmap: Define and communicate product vision, goals, and roadmap. Prioritise backlog items based on business value and feasibility
Backlog Management: Create and maintain a well-defined backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements.

Adaptability: You are familiar with traditional waterfall as well as Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies
Strong Leaders: You have strong leadership and team management skills and have proven record of managing teams of 8 or more people.
Relevant Skills: you are skilled in project management and Agile tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence. You have deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban methodologies. You have hands on experience in backlog management and product ownership.
Australian Citizenship: Australian citizenship is required for this role.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree – preferably in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in project management, Agile delivery, or product ownership roles across the system development lifecycle.
3+ years of experience leading small teams.
2+ years of experience leading small teams on Systems Integration projects.
Certifications such as PMP, CSM (Certified Scrum Master), SAFe Agilist, or CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) are highly desirable.
Experience in both traditional and Agile delivery methodologies.
Proficiency with tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence.
