Security Clearance Requirement: Given the secure nature of this role serving Government clients, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens with an active security clearance or are eligible for obtaining security clearance.
Remote working: Candidates will be required to be in Canberra office at least 3 days per week. Candidates willing to relocate to Canberra are welcome to apply.

Role Description
As a PMO Consultant, you play a critical role in supporting project and program management activities by ensuring effective governance, reporting, and coordination. This role requires a strong focus on project administration, stakeholder communication, and adherence to delivery standards. You will work closely with project managers, delivery leads, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Governance and Administration: Support adherence to project governance frameworks and standards. Maintain project documentation including charters, plans, and risk registers. Ensure compliance with organisational policies.
Project Coordination: Coordinate schedules, resources, and activities for smooth project execution. Track key milestones, deliverables, and dependencies. Prepare for governance meetings and project reviews.
Risk and Issue Management: Monitor, log, and escalate project risks and issues. Support development and execution of mitigation plans.
Reporting and Analytics: Prepare and distribute regular status reports, dashboards, and presentations. Track KPIs and project metrics to provide insights to stakeholders.
Financial Management: Assist in tracking project budgets, forecasts, and actuals. Support procurement processes including vendor management and invoice tracking.
Stakeholder Communication and Support: Act as a point of contact for project queries. Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders. Support workshops, meetings, and presentations.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and PMO team members to foster a collaborative environment. Share best practices and contribute to process improvement.

Relevant Skills: You are proficient with tools such as Microsoft Project, Power BI, Excel, and other collaboration tools. You are familiar with traditional waterfall as well as Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies. You have an analytical mindset with experience in data visualisation and reporting
Australian Citizenship: Australian citizenship is required for this role.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree – preferably in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a PMO or project management support role.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
Certifications such as CAPM, PMP, or PRINCE2 Foundation are a plus.
Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Project, Power BI, and Excel.
