Senior Manager/Associate Director – Commercial Banking (Post-Merger Integration / Data Migration)
Role Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and delivery-focused Senior Manager to lead post-merger integration and/or data migration initiatives within Commercial Banking. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless client transitions, operational readiness, and technology enablement following major banking mergers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post-Merger Integration Leadership
- Lead end-to-end integration planning and execution across business banking, operations, and technology teams
- Partner with client and internal teams to define integration strategy, governance, and success metrics.
- Drive alignment across workstreams including customer, product, data, and systems.
- Data Migration Oversight
- Manage technical and functional aspects of commercial customer and product data migration from legacy platforms to modern banking systems.
- Develop migration runbooks, dress rehearsal plans, and cutover strategies.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and customer experience throughout migration phases.
- Commercial Banking Expertise
- Provide subject matter expertise on commercial banking products (deposits, lending, markets/treasury).
- Advise on continuity of banking, product mapping, and simplification strategies for commercial customers.
- Support client conversion activities and operational readiness.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with commercial banking product teams, leadership, regulatory bodies, and other internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate governance forums, reporting, and decision-making processes.
- Team Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams including stream leads, SMEs, and delivery managers.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to capability uplift across the integration practice.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years in financial services, with deep exposure to the commercial banking domain.
- Proven track record in post-merger integration or large-scale data migration programs.
- Strong program delivery background with experience managing complex, multi-phase initiatives.
- Familiarity with banking data models, regulatory frameworks, and customer migration strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with tools like Accenture Data Migration Platform (ADMP) or similar is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
