Utilities Asset Management Consultant

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate business needs into functional specifications and possible solutions.
- Suggest possible solutions and be able to present to internal teams and in client workshops.
- Customize and optimize the system for maintenance planning, work order management, asset management, and associated processes.
- Analysis of business requirements, provide solution on different business processes and support finalizing the solution with the customer teams.
- Demonstrate Product & Solution demos to client.
- Document business process, recommend new methods and automation opportunities for efficient business operation.
- Analyze client current processes and suggest improvements.
- Implement best practices for Asset Management System for Utilities (Generation, Transmission and Distribution): Works Management for Electrical Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Gas Storage, Transmission & distribution, Water Production & distribution.
- Hands-on experience of design and execution of Asset hierarchy, asset nomenclature, Functional location, asset analytics, asset residual life and asset retirement activities.
- Implement best practices for preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and asset lifecycle management.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (such as procurement, finance, SCM, HR etc.) to ensure seamless integration of product with other modules or external systems.
- Work independently on defining solution for complex projects or contribute to solution of a program
- Ability to write functional Design Documents and provide input to the other team on solution.
- Get involved in assignments in large programs, help in defining business and technological solutions which help customer design and implement new business processes and organization capabilities.
- Co-ordinate with technical teams to implement the solution components and functional test the solution and components
- Experience in delivering end-to-end Transformation Projects in Utilities sector.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree holder
- Level: Consultant | Years of Exp: 3 to 6 years post MBA or 8 years without MBA
- Level: Manager | Years of Exp: 7 to 10 years post MBA or 10 years without MBA
- 3+ years in relevant-to-Utilities-Asset-Management role or Enterprise Asset Management with experience in end-to-end implementations.
- Strong understanding of Industry leading practices and utilities value chain.
- Sound knowledge on Asset Management with advanced knowledge of enterprise or application systems (at least 2 of the following systems – (Asset Maintenance, GIS, Asset Analytics, Asset planning, DERMS and GIS) and minimum 1 year of experience in Asset Management Services, Asset Lifecycle Management, Predictive Analytics and Reliability Centered Maintenance; Work Management, Inventory & Purchasing, GIS, Outage planning, Asset Performance Management, and Asset Investment Planning.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance management principles, including preventive maintenance strategies, work order management, and shutdown planning.
- Project Management skills to handle timelines, resources, and project deliverables efficiently.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex business requirements and provide effective solutions.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with diverse teams and present solutions clearly.

- A continuous learning mindset to stay updated with SAP updates, new technologies, and industry trends.
- Good knowledge and experience in Digital & System Integration projects
- Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills.

Would be advantageous, not mandatory:
- Experience in Oracle Utilities or SAP; Asset Management Certifications for platforms such as SAP / Oracle (Would be an advantage)
- Knowledge in various EAM platforms like Oracle WAM/WACS, SAP, Maximo or other Enterprise Asset Management.
- Knowledge of other utility products such as products for ADMS, AMI, Smart Metering, and DERMS are good-to-have.
- Experience in Field Service Mobility platforms
- Cloud Certifications in Azure / AWS / GCP platforms
- PMP or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner certificate would be an advantage.
