Job Description
The ideal candidate for a Senior Manager in the Supply Chain team shall be,
- A subject matter expert in application of data science methodologies in one or more areas of supply chain analytics: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Network Design, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, After Market, or Control Tower
- Create new innovative offerings and lead workstreams in their area of expertise; demonstrate thought leadership which helps the growth of the Practice via new client work and more trained team members.
- Support business development and communicate with leaders in client teams to understand business challenges, be the solution architect, design and get buy-in for the analytics solution and serve as delivery lead of one or more Manager-led teams during project execution
Job Qualifications
Mandatory Skills:
- Deep experience in creating innovative solutions and delivering projects using data science in at least one of the supply chain functional areas: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Network Design, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, After Market, or Control Tower
- Expertise in use of data science for supply chain planning and operations of any of the major industries: Consumer Goods, Retail, Life sciences, Industrial, and Resources
- Expert in creating solutions using one or more data science areas like Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Statistics, Operations Research
- Experience in leading work delivered via large project teams across multiple workstreams
- Strong skills in presentation of complex concepts and large-scale project work to senior stakeholders
- Hands-on programming experience with any of the analytics tools, data bases and visualization tools and platforms (e.g., Python, PySpark, SQL)
Experience and Education:
- Ideal candidates should have a Ph.D. or a Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline like Statistics/ Economics/ Operations Research/Computer Science, etc.
- Work experience in data science applications should be 11+ years after Master’s degree or 8+ years after Ph.D., with at least 7 years in advanced analytics solutions design and delivery experience in supply chain/logistics/manufacturing/ production. Global client experience is a plus.
- Certifications in any one or two of the areas will be an added advantage: Python, AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Optimization, Simulation, data science application on any of the cloud platforms (Azure/ GCP/ AWS).
