Java Backend Developer
Overview:
A backend developer will be responsible for managing the server-side logic for the Stack applications. They will primarily be focused on building new features and functionality, developing maintainable and reusable libraries, and maintaining integration with the Splunk platform. A backend developer is expected to have a fundamental understanding of OOP coding principles and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Strives to write clean, readable, and maintainable code
Implement solutions which are efficient and optimised for their task
Clarify and understand requirements for a solution, maintaining constant communications for feedback to ensure that the requirements are met
Ability to research and self-learn
Working within agile framework, including participating in stand-ups, maintaining workflow through Jira
Identifying, resolving, and fixing bugs and issues
Ensure an understanding of the Stack Git workflow, including branching strategies
Development of the automated testing scripts for the applications
Skills Required:
- 3+ years of experience with Java
Excellent English communication skill
- Intermediate experience with Linux
- Intermediate knowledge of Splunk
- Basic experience with Git
- Familiarity with REST architecture
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Familiarity with XML
- Critical thinking and Problem solving
- Presentation and communication skills
