POSITION TITLE: Controllership Specialist
WORK SETUP: Return to Office

OVERALL PURPOSE:
As a Sr. Technical Revenue Accountant, you will support complex revenue recognition processes and projects that are vital to ensuring accurate accounting and reporting. Working closely with the Revenue Accounting Manager, you will analyze revenue transactions, implement scalable accounting processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive compliance with ASC 606 while optimizing financial outcomes. Your role will be critical in supporting the growth and scalability of One Orion’s financial operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue Analysis & Recognition
• Analyze and account for complex revenue arrangements, including non-standard contracts, modifications, and new product offerings, ensuring compliance with Revenue Policies and Procedures.
• Evaluate key terms in contracts to determine their impact on revenue recognition and implement appropriate accounting treatments.
• Prepare detailed documentation to support revenue recognition processes for month-end and quarter-end close.

Tactical Accounting 
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparing documentation for revenue transactions.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies in all revenue recognition processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 
• Collaborate with the Deal Desk team to standardize and streamline deal approvals while optimizing revenue recognition.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives to optimize financial outcomes and support strategic decision-making.

Process Optimization
• Help design and implement scalable systems and automated processes for revenue recognition, aligned with company policies and objectives.
• Continuously improve and refine revenue-related processes to support business growth and mitigate risk.
• Lead or participate in ad hoc projects with significant cross-functional and operational impact.

Audit Support:

• Act as a point of contact for auditors in this high-risk area, ensuring thorough documentation and timely responses. Support external audits and participate in cross-functional projects with significant business impact.

SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS: • Standard RTR Profile • At least 3 years of relevant experience in RTR
