Summary:
As a Cloud Migration Engineer, a typical day involves evaluating current infrastructure and solutions to determine the best approach for transitioning to cloud environments. This role includes planning and executing the migration of applications and data, ensuring that the solutions implemented are scalable and deliver high performance. The position requires collaboration with various teams to align migration strategies with business goals, while continuously monitoring progress and addressing any challenges that arise during the migration process. The engineer plays a key role in enabling organizations to leverage both private and public cloud technologies to achieve advanced business outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration and integration of systems.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure post-migration to maintain performance and reliability.
- Document migration processes and best practices to support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support during migration activities.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of SQL Server databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and migration tools related to database services.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database and migration issues.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
