Summary:
The Discovery & Preclinical Research Specialist / Business Analyst bridges experimental science and digital infrastructure to accelerate early drug discovery and preclinical development. This role is responsible for managing scientific data pipelines from laboratory instruments to centralised platforms, ensuring FAIR data principles, metadata governance, and seamless integration with downstream analytics environments.
Key responsibilities include designing and executing AI/ML models for target identification, compound screening, ADMET prediction, and biomarker discovery using platforms such as AWS Sagemaker and Bedrock. The specialist operates and supports HPC environments for large-scale genomics, molecular dynamics, and simulation workloads, ensuring performance, compliance, and accessibility for research teams.
The role also oversees scientific equipment and asset databases, manages literature surveillance and knowledge management systems, and supports federated and open science initiatives. Close collaboration with computational chemists, biologists, and translational scientists is essential to enable hypothesis-driven research, reproducibility, and data-driven decision-making across the preclinical portfolio.

- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Drive the documentation and analysis of business requirements to support project objectives.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing knowledge to enhance their professional growth.

- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex business processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Excellent communication abilities to effectively convey findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Experience in gathering and synthesizing information from multiple sources to support business decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams to drive consensus and achieve project goals.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Life Sciences R&D.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
