Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical vision and architectural framework of tailored software projects. This role requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of design and implementation, ensuring that development practices meet high standards. The position demands continuous alignment of software solutions with organizational goals, focusing on scalability and performance. Required significant experience as a Business Analyst within an investment banking or financial services environment, with a strong understanding of how complex business processes are supported by technology and delivered through large scale change programmes. Collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain a cohesive and efficient development environment is a key aspect of daily activities, fostering innovation and quality in every deliverable.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Proven experience leading analysis on complex technology or transformation initiatives involving multiple systems, workstreams, and senior stakeholders
- A strong understanding of transaction or trading lifecycles and their downstream operational, risk, finance, and reporting impacts
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problem spaces and drive clear, evidence based outcomes
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments at scale
- The ability to engage confidently and credibly with senior business and technology stakeholders, influencing decisions and constructively challenging assumptions
- Practical working knowledge of Digital Assets or Distributed Ledger Technology from a business and process perspective, sufficient to assess feasibility, operating model impact, and delivery risk (deep technical expertise not required)
- Strong capability to translate business objectives and regulatory or control requirements into clear, usable inputs for technology delivery teams
- Experience working with documentation tools, code repositories, issue tracking tools, and collaboration platforms
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the establishment and enforcement of development standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to align project objectives.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Business Requirements Analysis.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Experience in designing scalable software architectures that support evolving business demands.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex project phases with effective coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize solution delivery.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices.

- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
