Quality Engineer
Project Role Description : Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.

Summary:
Software Quality Engineers design, create, implement, and monitor processes that ensure that the final product satisfies end users needs and requirements, while also making sure no other influence will cause the product to malfunction.
Being able to fully understand what project managers and product owners expect, and to imagine what end users need and how they will interact with the product are just some of the points that a Soft-ware Quality Engineer has to be able to fulfill.
Clear and precise communications enable a Quality Assurance Engineer to address identified problems quickly to relevant partners in other teams and make a valuable contribution to improving the overall product quality.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases to identify software problems.
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.
Liaise with internal teams (e.g. product leads and developers) to identify system requirements.
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software.
Work together with software developers to enhance and im-prove software.
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Professional & Technical Skills:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or comparable qualifications/experience.
Proven work experience in software development or in soft-ware quality assurance.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans, test cases and defect descriptions.
ISTQB or related certification is preferable.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Test Management.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
