Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with contemporary development frameworks and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with different teams and continuous refinement of software elements to enhance performance and functionality are integral parts of the daily routine.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement best practices in software development to improve team productivity and product quality.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to facilitate smooth project execution and timely delivery.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: 6 years of experience in Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI).
- Must To Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
Core skills & capabilities required:
- 7+ years of experience in a senior development role.
- Familiarity with all aspects of SDLC.
- Detailed experience with SQL Server, Analysis Services (MDX queries for multidimensional cubes and DAX for tabular), Integration Services, Reporting Services (SSRS and Power BI).
- Excellent system design skills in a SQL Server Business Intelligence.
- Experienced with Source control – GIT, DevOps
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in Financial Industry applications and business processes
- Experience with Agile projects
- Understanding of Market Risk.
Domain Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Banking, Markets / Treasury products desirable
- Ability to be able to handle the complexity and dynamic nature of the Financial Services environment, requirement applications to adapt, be flexible and learn quickly in a complex environment.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling and visualization techniques to create insightful business intelligence reports.
- Experience in integrating data from multiple sources to build comprehensive dashboards and analytics solutions.
- Ability to optimize data queries and improve performance of business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with agile software development practices and version control systems.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI).
- This position is based at our Gurugram client office and requires to work from client site 3 days/Week
- A 15 years full time education is required.
