Summary:
As a Sr. Java Full Stack Architect, you are responsible for end to end solution architecture, technology modernization, security and vulnerability governance, and client advisory, with exposure to GenAI driven engineering practices in the Insurance domain.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Own end to end architecture for large scale enterprise platforms, ensuring scalability, resiliency, security, and performance.
- Define target state and transition architectures aligned to business and regulatory needs.
- Lead architecture reviews, design forums, and technical governance with client and Accenture leadership.
- Drive consistency in coding standards, design patterns, and best practices across teams.
- Identify risks early through reviews, including performance, security, and maintainability concerns.
Java Modernization & Technical Upgradations
- Drive all technical upgradations, including:
- JDK upgrades
- Framework modernization
- Platform and dependency upgrades
- Lead modernization from legacy systems to cloud native microservices architectures.
- Optimize applications for performance, startup efficiency, and resource utilization.
- Platform, library, and dependency upgrades
- Own performance improvement analysis and optimization across applications, ensuring adherence to non functional requirements such as performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.
Microservices, Messaging & Integration Architecture
- Architect microservices based systems using Java, Spring Boot.
- Design event driven and message oriented architectures using Kafka and MQ (IBM MQ).
- Define integration patterns, API contracts (REST, Conjure), and data flow models across distributed systems.
- Ensure fault tolerance, observability, and resiliency across services.
Cloud & Platform Architecture
- Architect and govern deployments on AWS and OpenShift.
- Define containerization, scalability, resilience, and cost optimization strategies.
- Partner with DevOps teams on CI/CD architecture, environment strategy, and release automation.
Vulnerability & Security Architecture
- Own vulnerability management strategy across applications, including identification, prioritization, remediation, and closure.
- Drive remediation of critical and high vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with enterprise and client security standards.
- Embed security by design principles into architecture, development, and release processes.
- Partner with security teams on audits, scans, and continuous risk reduction.
Release & Production Architecture
- Own release architecture and deployment strategy across multiple applications.
- Provide architectural leadership during production incidents, RCA, and preventive remediation.
- Ensure production readiness, SLA adherence, and operational stability through proactive architectural decisions.
GenAI & Engineering Innovation
- Leverage GenAI tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, test automation, and analysis.
- Promote adoption of AI assisted development and review practices across teams.
- Stay current with emerging GenAI capabilities and apply them responsibly within enterprise engineering standards.
Client & Leadership Engagement
- Act as the primary client facing architect, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead architecture roadmaps, risk discussions, and modernization plans with stakeholders.
- Drive cadence meetings, executive updates, and leadership reporting on architecture health, security posture, and transformation progress.
- Lead and govern code review practices to ensure high code quality, security, performance, and adherence to architectural standards.
- Mentor resources through constructive feedback, strengthening overall engineering maturity and delivery quality.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in following -
- Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture
- Angular (Full Stack architecture experience)
- Kafka, MQ (IBM MQ / Enterprise Messaging)
- AWS, OpenShift
- JDK upgrades, REST APIs, Conjure
- CI/CD, DevOps, Release Architecture
- Vulnerability management & security remediation
- Exposure to GenAI tools for engineering productivity
- Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.
- Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL or Oracle.
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have 15+ years of Hands on experience as enterprise architecture, Java full stack development, and large scale modernization programs.
- Willingness to work in Shift B (11:00 AM–9:00 PM or 12:00 PM–10:00 PM)
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
