Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to design, deploy, manage, and support virtual desktop infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance virtual desktop environments for enterprise users.
Key Responsibilities:
AVD Deployment & Configuration
Deploy and configure Azure Virtual Desktop environments including host pools, application groups, and workspaces.
Create and manage session host virtual machines in Microsoft Azure.
Implement golden image management and session host scaling strategies.
Configure autoscaling and load balancing for AVD host pools.
Profile & Storage Management
Configure and manage user profiles using FSLogix.
Manage Azure file shares or other storage solutions for profile containers.
Ensure optimal profile performance and reliability
Identity & Access Management:
Integrate AVD with Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory.
Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and conditional access policies.
Manage user access and permissions.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Monitor system performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
Troubleshoot AVD connectivity, performance, and user session issues.
Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes.
Security & Compliance
Implement security policies using Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
Ensure patch management and OS updates for session hosts.
Follow enterprise security and compliance standards.
Automation & Optimization
Automate tasks using PowerShell and Azure automation tools.
Optimize cost and performance of AVD resources.
Maintain documentation for AVD configurations and processes.
Key Competencies:
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) expertise

Required Skills:
3–7 years of experience in Windows server administration or cloud infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop deployments.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services such as VM, networking, and storage.
Experience with FSLogix profile management.
Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
Experience with PowerShell scripting.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Facilitate training sessions for junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure IaaS.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and services.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a cloud environment.
- Familiarity with scripting languages for automation and process improvement.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure IaaS.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
