Project Role Description : Design, implement and maintain databases. Install database management systems (DMBS). Develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution.

Summary:
As a Mainframe ZOS DB2 Database Administrator, you will engage in the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems, developing procedures for daily maintenance, and resolving any issues that arise. You will work collaboratively with team members to ensure optimal database performance and reliability, while also contributing to the overall strategy for database management within the organization. Your role will require a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data integrity and security.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Monitor database performance and implement necessary optimizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and deployment.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Mainframe ZOS IBM Db2.
- DB2 experience in LUW will not be considered. Must to have work experience in Mainframe ZOS
platform as DB2 DBA.
- Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices.
- Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of SQL and database query languages.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in IBM Db2.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
