Summary:
As a Packaged/SaaS Application Engineer, you will configure and support packaged or SaaS applications to adapt features, manage releases, and ensure system stability. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to align solutions with business needs while utilizing standard tools, APIs, and low-code platforms to maintain compatibility and performance across systems. You will engage in problem-solving activities and contribute to the overall efficiency of application management, ensuring that all systems operate smoothly and effectively.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across business, INT/integration, testing, BASIS, project, and vendor teams.
- Proven experience managing environment route to live, including scheduling, readiness planning, and running environment management forums.
- Ability to plan and manage integrated environment & release calendars (performance testing, integration cycles, refreshes, patching, deployments).
- SAP transport landscape management experience (CTMS, transport routes, sequencing, deployment order) with clear appreciation of BASIS responsibilities.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools for change and work management experience with ChaRM integrations is beneficial.
- Ability to govern configuration changes and track manual changes, ensuring auditability and minimising risk across environments.
- Experience coordinating resolution of environment issues such as outages, configuration conflicts, deployment failures, and performance blockers.
The secondary are:
- Experience using SAP Solution Manager / ChaRM for change control, governance, versioning, retrofit and ToC processes.
- Exposure to CI/CD and integration tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions) in the context of SAP change/transport automation.
- Hands on troubleshooting of SAP transports or basic BASIS activities such as releasing transports (desirable but not essential).
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Basis Administration.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with cloud-based application management.
- Strong understanding of system configuration and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with API integration and low-code development platforms.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
