Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, SharePoint Developer will play a key role in architecting and delivering digital workspace solutions using SharePoint Online and related Microsoft 365 technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing business requirements, designing scalable solutions, and implementing advanced workflows, integrations, and customisations. The position requires close collaboration with stakeholders, business analysts, and IT professionals to deliver projects that enhance user experience, automate processes, and support ongoing digital transformation.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of advanced SharePoint Online solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability. Develop documentation and technical specifications for new features and enhancements.
- Development & Customisation: Build and customise SharePoint sites, document libraries, lists, pages, and web parts. Utilise SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), and custom scripting to deliver bespoke functionality tailored to business requirements.
- Integration: Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 services, line-of-business applications, and third-party platforms using APIs, Azure functions, and connectors.
- Migration: Lead or support large-scale migrations from legacy SharePoint environments and on-premises solutions to SharePoint Online.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the Digital Workspace Lead, business stakeholders, and end users to gather requirements, present solution prototypes, and deliver training and support.
- Governance & Security: Implement and maintain best practices for SharePoint governance, security, compliance, and information architecture.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for SharePoint-related issues, collaborating with IT support teams as necessary.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest SharePoint and Microsoft 365 developments. Recommend and implement enhancements to improve usability, performance, and security.


Professional & Technical Skills:
- Proven SharePoint Online Expertise: Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and supporting SharePoint Online solutions in medium to large organisations.
- SharePoint Framework (SPFx): Advanced proficiency in SPFx, including modern web part development, extensions, and deployment.
- Power Platform: Strong experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI integration to build business process automation and data visualisation solutions.
- Web Technologies: Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and RESTful APIs.
- Cloud & Integration: Working knowledge of Azure services, Microsoft Graph, and third-party integrations.
- Migration Experience: Track record leading or supporting migrations from legacy SharePoint or other content management systems to SharePoint Online.
- Governance & Compliance: Familiarity with SharePoint governance, permissions, security, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO, etc.).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders, present complex solutions, and deliver user training.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities able to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Project Management: Experience working in Agile or Waterfall project environments, collaborating within cross-functional teams.


Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 -7 years of experience in Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online Development.
- This position is based at our Kolkata office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
