Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Safety & Security Lead to drive the development and integration of functional safety and cybersecurity solutions for next-generation automotive platforms. The role requires strong technical expertise in ISO 26262, ASPICE, and ISO/SAE 21434 along with proven leadership in guiding cross-functional teams to ensure safe, secure, and compliant automotive systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Define and lead functional safety (FuSa) concepts and safety architectures for automotive ECUs and HPCs.
Drive cybersecurity architecture, threat analysis, risk assessment (TARA), and mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, ISO-SAE 21434, ASPICE, UNECE R155-R156 and other industry standards.
Collaborate with hardware & software teams on safety mechanisms, secure boot, intrusion detection, and secure communication.
Perform and review FMEA, FTA, HARA, cybersecurity assessments and safety case documentation.
Establish processes, frameworks, and tools for end-to-end safety & security lifecycle management.
Mentor engineers and act as the technical authority for safety & security topics across projects. Work closely with cross-functional teams across globe
Professional & Technical Skills:
Strong background in automotive embedded systems (ECUs, HPCs, middleware, networking).
Hands-on experience in functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434) implementation.
Proficiency in safety analysis methods (FMEA, FTA, HARA) and security methods (TARA, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing).
Good knowledge of secure software development, cryptography, key management, secure OTA.
Experience working with Tier-1s/OEMs and managing safety/security compliance across domains.
10+ years in automotive/embedded software, with 3+ years in a lead/architect role.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross functional team
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Information:
The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in Automotive ECU Software.
This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
A Bachelor of Engineering in Computers Electronics or any related stream is required.
