Performance Engineer
Project Role Description : Diagnose issues that an in-house performance testing team has been unable to. There are five aspects to Performance Engineering: software development lifecycle and architecture, performance testing and validation, capacity planning, application performance management and problem detection and resolution.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer with strong expertise in Gatling and Micro Focus LoadRunner. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and analyzing performance tests for complex, large-scale applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure system reliability, scalability, and stability under varying load conditions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design and develop performance test strategies, plans, and scripts using Gatling and LoadRunner.
Execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests across web, API, and enterprise applications.
Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide tuning recommendations at the application, database, and infrastructure levels.
Work with developers and architects to debug performance issues and suggest code or configuration improvements.
Develop automation for performance test execution within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Monitor system metrics (CPU, memory, network, DB performance) during test runs.
Prepare detailed reports highlighting system performance, bottlenecks, and optimization recommendations.
Collaborate with functional QA teams to align performance scenarios with real-world business use cases.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Micro Focus LoadRunner, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Java, Kubernetes.
6–12 years of overall experience in performance testing and engineering.
Must have Strong hands-on expertise in:
Gatling (Scala scripting, CI/CD integration, API performance testing).
Micro Focus LoadRunner (VuGen scripting, Controller execution, Analysis).
Must have experience in cloud-based performance testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficient in scripting for HTTP, Web, REST APIs, and database protocols.
Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis of performance issues.
Familiarity with APM tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests with DevOps workflows.
Solid understanding of performance KPIs (response time, throughput, error , latency, resource utilization).
Knowledge of Java/Scala (for Gatling) and C scripting (for LoadRunner).
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Good to Have
Knowledge of JMeter, NeoLoad, or other performance testing tools.
Familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker for distributed performance testing.
Exposure to database performance tuning (SQL optimization).
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 6 years of experience in Micro Focus LoadRunner.
- This position is based at our client office in Gurugram and it is mandate to work from client office 3 days /week .
- A 15 years full time education is required.
