What would you do? We are seeking a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong expertise in Statutory Audit and Reporting and sound knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP. This role is ideal for professionals with 0-3 years of post-qualification experience who are eager to build their career in statutory reporting within a global organization. The Statutory Accounting team manages statutory audits for Group entities in line with applicable GAAP requirements while supporting various stakeholders across the business. This position provides exposure to end-to-end statutory reporting, coordination with auditors, and cross-functional collaboration with tax, treasury, and corporate teams. This is the process of generating financial statements in accordance with client policies and statutory requirements. Activities include IFRS to local GAAP reconciliation, updating notes accounts, XBRL tagging, preparing tax packs etc.
What are we looking for? Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in statutory audit and reporting. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP. Proficiency in Oracle ERP (preferred). Exposure to Workiva software (good to have). Extensive MS Office experience An understanding of the statutory reporting process, internal and external reporting requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities: Prepare annual statutory accounts for assigned legal entities in compliance with local GAAP. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion and filing of statutory accounts. Develop audit schedules, reconciliations, and support documentation. Liaise with Business Units, Legal, Corporate, Treasury, HR, and Payroll teams to provide auditors with necessary information and approvals. Application of IFRS/local GAAP in resolving complex issues in the entities Draft financial statements and disclosures in accordance with statutory requirements. Prepare and support annual legal entity returns, collaborating with tax and corporate advisors to meet filing deadlines. Address queries raised by directors during financial statement reviews and obtain required approvals. Work with the Tax team to finalize tax disclosures and calculations. Post statutory adjustments in Oracle to align local statutory accounts with the accounting system, including retained earnings reconciliations.
