What would you do? As a member of the Technology sourcing practice, you will be responsible for identifying cost/productivity improvement opportunities in spend across a wide array of leading companies and industries. You will lead IT sourcing projects, including all key steps such as strategy development, RFx management, risk management/mitigation, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations, and supplier contract execution. You will work with the legal and technical teams to facilitate the negotiations of the legal and technical terms in a contract and execute it. You will also provide industry and supplier research, market intelligence, and financial analyses to clients, support the development of market insights from cross-client sourcing activity, and collaborate with Technology Practice advisors to develop content that enables knowledge sharing across the organization. You will pursue and develop senior-level stakeholder relationships at priority accounts and support account relationship plans.
What are we looking for? To succeed in this role, you must be a strong critical thinker and self-starter, able to work independently with high-level guidance and minimal supervision. A passion for continuous learning across industries (IT, banking, retail, industrial, healthcare, etc.) with end-to-end technology sourcing experience is essential. Strong analytical skills to interpret numeric and text data and turn it into actionable client recommendations are required. Preferably, you are an engineer with a full-time MBA and at least 10 years’ relevant experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or software/infrastructure/IT services. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must, along with 5+ years managing global customers and suppliers (NA, EMEA, APAC) and 3+ years leading teams of 5+ members. Minimal travel to multiple customer locations may be required. AI Literacy: o Practical, consistent use of AI assistants for S2C tasks with judgment & quality control o Translate business goals into clear prompts, iterate quickly, validate outputs, and refine documents (tables, tracked changes, scans/PDFs) o Candidates with S2C experience welcome; those without AI background must demonstrate adaptability, curiosity, & structured thinking
Roles and Responsibilities: Execute sourcing across S2C lifecycle: supplier outreach, RFx events, negotiations, awards, and contracting. • Support development of category strategies, pipelines, and roadmaps using research and financial/commercial analysis. • Analyze supplier proposals/contracts to optimize results and inform negotiations. • Embed AI and digital tools into sourcing workflows to streamline operations and reporting. • Deliver business development support including assessments, due diligence, and case studies. • Produce market intelligence and thought leadership content for clients and stakeholders. • Mentor and coach peers/juniors in sourcing, AI use, procurement practices, and Category. • Build trusted relationships with suppliers and stakeholders; adapt communication for executives and functions. • Manage multiple projects independently in dynamic environments while contributing to shared services/matrix structures. • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in procurement practices and ecosystems. • Travel up to 50% to client sites. • Other Competencies: o Strong project management in dynamic environments. o Self-starter, adaptable, growth-oriented problem-solver. o Strong storytelling/communication skills for stakeholders and C-suite. o Emerging business development support: due diligence, contracts, case studies. o Tools: Proficient in procurement platforms, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, AI tools.
