THE WORK:
  • You’ll lead utility coordination for water, sewer, and communication relocations along Wilshire Boulevard and adjacent streets.
  • You’ll oversee complex downtown utility relocations supporting cut-and-cover tunneling and station box construction.
  • You’ll manage design review and conflict resolution for underground and overhead utilities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • You’ll conduct research using record drawings, field investigations, and potholing data to identify existing utilities and potential conflicts.
  • You’ll prepare and review Utility Relocation Plans, Joint Utility Trench (JUT) layouts, and conflict resolution drawings.
  • You’ll prepare Utility Work Agreements (UWAs) and coordinate permits with utility owners such as DWP, SoCal Gas, AT&T, Spectrum, and LADOT.
  • You’ll provide field engineering support for utility relocations, inspection coordination, and as-built verification.
  • You’ll liaise with municipal agencies, Caltrans, the County of Los Angeles, and third-party utility companies to ensure timely approvals.
  • You’ll prepare utility impact matrices, relocation schedules, and cost estimates.
  • You’ll track RFI responses, submittals, and change orders related to utility scope.
  • You’ll manage interface meetings, utility coordination logs, and risk registers.
  • You’ll ensure compliance with NEPA/CEQA requirements, encroachment permits, and environmental constraints.
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
  • With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

$120,000 - $160,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio or Washington as set forth below.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in utility engineering and coordination for public infrastructure projects
  • Minimum of five (5) years of direct experience supporting LA Metro capital improvement programs, including, transit corridor expansions (e.g., Purple Line, Crenshaw/LAX, Regional Connector, West Santa Ana Branch), station construction and tunnel alignment utility coordination, roadway and civil interface for transit infrastructure


BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience with heavy civil, transit, and rail projects in dense urban environments, requiring phased utility relocations and detailed coordination
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California 
  • Certifications: Construction Manager (CCM) 
  • OSHA 30-Hour Safety
