About the Role

Accenture is looking for a Service Designer to join our growing Experience and Service Design practice. In this role, you'll help organisations reimagine and improve services by placing user needs at the centre of decision-making. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you'll design end-to-end experiences that deliver meaningful outcomes for users while meeting business and operational objectives.

You will collaborate with researchers, designers, product owners, architects, and client stakeholders to shape future-state services, identify opportunities for improvement, and create impactful solutions across digital and non-digital touchpoints. This is an opportunity to work on complex transformation programs that influence how customers, citizens, and employees interact with products and services every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end services that are user-centred, efficient, and aligned to business goals.

  • Develop customer journeys, service blueprints, ecosystem maps, and future-state service models.

  • Facilitate discovery sessions, design workshops, and co-creation activities with users and stakeholders.

  • Translate research insights and user needs into actionable service concepts and recommendations.

  • Identify service pain points, risks, opportunities, and areas for innovation.

  • Collaborate with product, delivery, and technology teams to ensure service design is embedded throughout delivery.

  • Create clear service design artefacts that support implementation and decision-making.

  • Champion accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principles.

  • Measure service effectiveness and drive continuous improvement through data, feedback, and iteration.

  • Communicate complex concepts through compelling storytelling and visualisation techniques.

Benefits of Working with Accenture

  • Work with some of Australia's leading organisations on large-scale transformation programs.

  • Access industry-leading training, certifications, and career development opportunities.

  • Collaborate with talented designers, strategists, technologists, and innovators across Accenture.

  • Flexible and hybrid ways of working that support wellbeing and work-life balance.

  • Be part of an inclusive culture that values diversity, creativity, and continuous learning.

  • Leverage emerging technologies, including AI and intelligent experiences, to shape the future of service delivery.

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience in Service Design, Human-Centred Design, Customer Experience Design, or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience developing service blueprints, customer journey maps, and other service design artefacts.

  • Strong understanding of human-centred design methodologies, design thinking, and user research practices.

  • Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.

  • Experience working within Agile or multidisciplinary delivery environments.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.

  • Proficiency with collaboration and design tools such as Miro, Figma, FigJam, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex service and customer experience challenges.

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human Factors, Psychology, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance is advantageous.
