Functional Consultant
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of solutions
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend improvements to optimize business processes and system functionality
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including system, integration, UAT, and regression testing
• Manage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution to maintain high-quality deliverables
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), including coordination, validation, and sign-off processes
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, supporting their development and ensuring aligned delivery standards
• Assist in deployment activities, post-go-live support, and participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and stand-ups
Required Qualifications
• 3–4+ years of experience in a functional analyst or similar role
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile or Waterfall methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint for executive-level presentations
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or TestRail
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SAP and/or billing systems
• Exposure to working with global, cross-functional teams
• Industry experience in healthcare, financial services, or public sector environments
