The Subject Matter Advisor (SMA) brings deep wholesale banking expertise to guide multiple consulting initiatives under the Wholesale Banking Transformation Office. The role serves as a strategic advisor to C‑suite and senior leaders, focusing on key transformation priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise C-suite and Senior Executives
    Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on wholesale banking transformation. Partner with Accenture project teams to co‑run workshops, develop recommendations, and shape transformation roadmaps.

  • Lead Target Operating Model (TOM) Transformation
    Design and implement integrated E2E operating models across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office.

  • Drive Credit & Lending Process Redesign
    Oversee assessment and design of the credit lifecycle aligned to the TOM, recommending talent, process, policy, and technology improvements.

  • Guide Transaction Banking & Ecosystem Innovation
    Advise on payments and cash management product development, and define ecosystem and partnership strategies (including open banking).

  • Bridge Business & Technology
    Ensure technology architecture, data capabilities, and system enhancements align with business needs and industry best practices.

  • Quality Assurance & Value Realization
    Review deliverables to ensure they meet Accenture standards and are practical for implementation.

  • Mentor Clients & Internal Teams
    Provide coaching to business/IT teams and support Accenture team development.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in Corporate or Commercial Banking in senior leadership or consulting roles.
  • Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of wholesale banking models, operating models, and E2E credit and lending processes, including credit appraisal, rating usage, ECL, and IFRS9 implications.
  • Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of credit and Transaction Banking products and the broader corporate banking landscape.
  • Transformation Experience: Proven track record leading complex business and technology transformations.
  • Executive Presence: Able to communicate complex concepts clearly and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Technology Fluency: Familiarity with LOS, core banking platforms, and risk/compliance systems.
  • Business–Tech Translation Skills: Ability to convert business needs into functional requirements for tech and data teams.
