Solution Architect (Corporate Banking – Lending)

Our Client is embarking on a multi-year transformation journey to modernize its IT landscape, drive operational excellence, and enhance digital capabilities. The IT function is being restructured to provide regional oversight, technology harmonization, and platform standardization while ensuring local compliance across the APAC region. 

Location: Singapore 

ACN Job Level: Senior Manager/ Director 

The Solution Architect will lead our Client’s core banking transformation for the Lending domain on behalf of Accenture, designing and implementing scalable, cloud-native architectures for Lending, ensuring it is in line with Solution Architects across core banking, payments, trade, CASA and enterprise IT.  

This role ensures seamless integration, regulatory compliance, and platform reliability while bridging design gaps and accelerating execution. Collaborating with business and technology stakeholders, the architect will define technical solutions, guide development teams, and drive best practices to align with our Client’s modernization strategy.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Defines the overall technology strategy, system architecture, and integration approach to ensure scalable and aligned ACBS platform implementation 
  • Provides deep technical knowledge of payments and supporting applications and detail out technical specifications (Interface, Data Migration) required for pre-study 
  • Plan & design technical solution diagrams (i.e solution architecture & solution design) end-to-end integration process from front-end to back-end including the integration with 3rd party developer APIs, while providing solution input during ideation and discovery phases 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and solutions 
  • Provide technical oversight, reviewing system architecture, coding standards, and best practices, guiding project teams on implementation, risk mitigation, and compliance 
  • Conduct reviews and provide feedback on system design, development progress, and testing to ensure successful solution delivery. 
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to finalize technical designs and ensure integration with existing platforms and systems. 
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, address concerns, and manage technical debt throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Ensure adherence to the defined architecture and infrastructure, aligning with organizational and regulatory requirements. 
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to leadership, highlighting key risks, progress, and outcomes. 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • 12-15+ years of experience in solution architecture, software design, or enterprise IT in the banking or financial services sector. 
  • Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives in core banking, payments, lending, trade, CASA or enterprise IT. 

Skills and Knowledge 

  • Strong corporate banking industry and Lending domain knowledge 
  • Preferred if candidate has knowledge of ACBS platform implementation 
  • Strong background in architecture strategy, solution design, software design, and integration patterns. 
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, and event-driven design. 
  • Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman), DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies. 
  • Expertise in RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, Java, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 
  • Familiarity with enterprise messaging systems (IBM MQ, Kafka, Solace) and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle). 
  • Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements in banking IT landscapes. 
  • Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, engage with senior stakeholders, and drive architectural decisions. 
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.
